BLS (Basic Life Support) for healthcare providers course develop skills that focused on professional high-performance resuscitation. BLS for healthcare providers was designed for those with a duty to respond and deliver CPR and AED skills using a team approach to cardiac arrest management, and to better support healthcare providers in their practice.

BLS specifically focuses on the delivery of high performance, team-based professional-level resuscitation. It teaches the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, perform Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and perform rapid defibrillation including use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). This course is great for those taking care of patients and clients that are in a hospital, a in-care facility, a clinic and/or home setting. For this reason, this course is not intended for the lay rescuer or general public.
